Description

Ink pen illustration concerning an individual of the extinct Panthera tigris virgata "Caspian" Tiger subspecies (recently 'equated' as a distinct population of the Altaica Siberian subspecies).
It's demise is heavily attributed to a systematic hunting decurrent of Russian conquest in Turkestan, in the 19th century. From widespread disease to hunting and poaching, as well as human appropriation of it's original settings by around the rivers. Predators were extensively hunt down by bounty hunters which received valuable fortune for that coward attempt at sentient lives, becoming itself an economy until around WW1. As a species it was unable to cope with it. Distinct populations migrated but either died of other causes. Last sightings were around the sixties.
The Illustration was digitally worked over (partially) and I printed some as stickers or portrait-size illustrations for frames. First available at a veganism-related event in Curitiba, Brazil, in early April 2016. I've kept it around and I'm just posting it here now.
More stuff regarding my other illustrations which subject refers animal rights can be seen in a behance project.
Such register goes all the way through in concerns of endangered species, to population dynamics, the different scopes on the animal rights movement and the concernment of both bio-centric to sentio-centric politics, giving the distinct explanations to unclear blurs that most bland organizations susbsist in making.
Learn what you must as to how to help with animals. Not only those exploited in whatever industry (meat, eggs, fishing, etc), as well as sentient beings victims of other kind of natural disaster or devoid of any means to overcome harsh conditions. Going vegan (and staying so) is but the beginning of any possible ethical treatment. Intervention in nature means helping to reduce the suffering of sentient individuals, mostly than merely "preserving a species", concept which on it's own accords mostly to second intentions.
