LAMBDA vs KAPPA

Description

After some time of Alpha-Omega Agents fighting demons... what would it be like to have one against another?
Their allegiance are their own, the armors are their property now, and they evade the CIA surveillance of it's usage the way they can.
That said... Why would Anna and Melissa fight? That's no sparing match...

Anna survived the catstrophical Atlantis mission. Melissa escaped death in the failed Scirocco mission, and unsatisfied with it's result, strayed even further.
Not long four or so months passed... Anna watched and lived to the demise of the decadent institute which they once served. Melissa previewed that and left beforehand. Others had it she parted in good terms. Both of them now know they were working for the wrong side.
And each learned a crucial piece of intelligence whilst in service...

Fighting over either freedom or capture of a former enemy, both of them see a different end for the Triton who has been framed with large accusations. Most would find him guilty, but at that rate, his role became quite necessary, one of them would argue.

ANNA WHITAKER: AGENT LAMBDA and the lizard men
Anna found out many things whilst on Atlantis: Cuetzpalin Paynal, a world-level wanted "lizard man demon" criminal, is actually a teenage boy of whom she doesn't know of. Regrettably, she can't bring that to make a point in a private detective agency. But it brings about those twilight zones between surveillance, justice, science and forensics. He can become a lizard-man who runs faster than a bullet. Such a feat would and should be noted, but the population of human teenages doesn't prove anything like that. He could be everywhere... She guarded her secret as she promised in a weakened state when he came to her rescue in the island continent, before it sank with all it's history. She means it not to lead his capture, not whilst he's a human. However, she did speak of it to someone she trusts better: her father, Archibald Graham. A private detective with a long run and some mysterious involvements in highly reputed agencies, but kind of "retired" from the field. He is known to demons and the occult. He believes it to have a science behind it.
Cracking AXIS' former encrypted intelligence, they know Cuetzpalin stalked with government figures as bounty hunters in not much distant time from around when Paynal broke out. But that's not the main concern. The Island was filled with them, though not all have human counterparts...
How many humans could become other species?

MELISSA WALKER: AGENT KAPPA and the fish people
Melissa found out comparable shocking conclusions prior to the events of Scirocco. The amphibian, armored fish anthropozoomorphic demon (and also wanted criminal) the Triton is, as well, a high-schooler, though she didn't know exactly who he was, she had hints. In the slightly short-lived intent of making something out of an ordinary life in the holiday season she earnt after consecutive thirty months of service, a customer to her and friends' "alt cafe" was a silent young boy who visited it in almost a daily basis. While that didn't concern any of them, he was obviously not from around - a Minoican high-schooler, he was there on a "student exchange" pretext. By some time he tried to sociabilize, he brought matters concerning environment and native peoples. Not a simpleton commoner, huh? Anyway, it had ended there. Melissa's brother Lance may have mentioned about him sometime later as they've met in some condition during an October 2009 mission which he had to resort as to "play out a civillian life". Concidence? The sight of his face during his "reveal" (she caught up to him whilst he morphed back from Triton form) proved not. Her reflex threw a lasso at him, he managed to defend. She resorted to reason, took her helmet off and sketched a comprehensive face. Dug up a faked smile. His secret was kept.
"ALLIES, BUT ONLY FOR NOW"

Of course he'd be required to explain all that, as well as proving himself not to be involved with her brother's disappearance as of March 2010.
Time would be required for all to fall in place, but certain things came to be plotted from the beginning. He meant for the impending closure of the institute she worked for. While she couldn't give that, she, too, had grown out of favor to it. They planned some "meetings" in order to better set the current of events regarding the scheduled "Operation Scirocco". Her speed, plus his double identity, were the covert means by which they had to fake such meetings as if they were occasional, natural or even un-intended.

She wasn't fond of his explanations concerning his deeds - his repute on his criminal behavior wasn't tall tale - and obviously the gentle, somewhat shy boy would easily enervate whilst discussing such matter - his actions. However, in a situation she was in, collaborating with an institute which woud rather hunt slaves to protect slavers with oblivion, she was just a truth-seeker, so she'd temporarily ally to him. His values come closer to her own in some aspects, but pragmatic differences kept them at bay. She was all too used with environmental concern and it's distinctions. He was fond of helping sentient beings -humans and non-human animals- and controversially had to get rid of some humans to help them.

Things were easier said than done, but given time, when Scirocco team departed, she had no excuses - proving her former mates all she had brought about was no mere "conspiracy", she left behind - and departed with Triton and company (a huge company of demons and "so-called" militants), not satisfied with the dead end they reached at South Sudan. From there ownwards, their lead was meeting a former General involved in aforementioned plots. All things went on:
Fights against poachers, intrusion in coal mines, fights with demons, attacks at camps, the Triton setting free his rage in cities, tribal attacks, dismantling of hydroelectric plant projects, kidnappings of people, assassination, and conflict with conscripted mafias under the guise of religious organizations (guise, huh...), just to reach another dead end - the general involved with all during the conception to closure of AXIS was right now disfavored by United Nations, and despite time and space would heal his repute, he was in a homecoming process. He knew nothing concerning about her brother disappearance. He was as gone as an information left unsaved - the general was the human guise of an older entity, yes, but even gods themselves don't have full power or responsibility. It's an abstraction.

All which went until now had the Triton, whilst hurt, changing back to human to recover.
Desert, Savanna, and Jungle rendered him in Triton form for over some weeks or so, non-stop, neglecting the body he had in birth. He'd see the terror, the prisons, the torture, and punish the causers of such attrocities to no real effective change in the lives of those oppressed by it in a long term... but then again, damn the long term.... He was a teenage boy behind all that, and he had to do something. Usually in his human form, he'd keep Melissa awake in night by his constant self-loathing, complaining on his vice in his Triton power, and conversely seeing him as both victim of his own complex ego for digging deeper in efforts to change, and blessed to see through that which others ran from. He was in righteous self-pity, and most times she couldn't stand to it. But she knew it he was opening up. He was a human with a complex mind.

After the revelation of the unusefulness of her search, she too had seen it all
- poaching, hunting, slavery, torture, enprisonment, corruption, abuse. She used her "cause" (finding about her brother) as a mere justification. When all layers were taken away, she'd be the one to self-loathe. To engulf herself in tears, under stranger situation, to avail of no one. Whilst the human (Gus) was uncapable of dealing with it, the Triton would lash out. People commiting negative consequences didn't lack, if he weighted by that, there were plenty. Endless killing. To hell with his humanity, no respite for civilization. No forgiveness to neglect. It brought the gravest consequences of all.

That only made her more powerless...
But she perceived it all as she actually have changed the Triton in occasion. He had a human side. Prone to do what he must, he was motivated by experience, and that was something both of them had. He had self-trust as the Triton, but to her eyes, he lacked it as a human. If his actions concerned more something which involved less killing, he'd conciliate his deep mentality and inner subjectivity. Creating new pools for the thirsty animals to drink, offering the fresh corpses of humans for predators instead of common prey... It would take time, and should mistakes be done, more countless lives would be taken. He made sure if there was a balance, if "live and let die" was true, he'd change the tides. Favoring non-human animals and those with regard to the sentients in first place.
But she grew to be responsible of handling it from becoming just another "psychic facade" of his. He was good natured.
He opened up to her, and she would try to fit in a role like an older sister of sorts. He went by other way, keeping it for himself. Never good with words, he wouldn't use one if he could use ten, but only when requested. His regular speech were mostly mumbling tones and harsh words. Better writing off, he was nervous in the upcoming situations. All seemed to go alright, after all passed, and the enemy plot was foiled.
But they knew it wouldn't last forever.

    BACK AGAIN
Not a month ago, he unlikely returned, this time to her home country, Australia. A mixture of joy and relief accompanied a brief event, but it wouldn't last more than a week. They weighted the reponsibility left by billions of people on their shoulders. They should not leave undone the acts of dismantling human and non-human slavery. Whilst Melissa would go "step-by-step", Gus would rather make not that distinction - not until people pretended to didn't see that as well. He was pretty sure there was a major spot concerning the management of slavery politics - which defined it, as he saw work in arbitrary levels as no more than enslavement of human mind. Matters of global neo-colonialism were in all the rage. They saw that which they lived in Africa was no "separate episode". World politics meant exactly that. They couldn't let even neighbors to suffer that. Insurrections in the armies resumed in the country where aboriginals were persecuted and their infants kept prisoners. She saw herself covering it up for who would be likely enemies before, for "betraying the army". Risking the lives of civillians meant, in other words, weighting how much did their lives costed for those above them - the only thing she regretted was being unable to explain that once it's begun. No surprise would come if their lives meant nothing at all for the authorities.
Conflict and war was there, conscrypted in the slightiest of their routines. She couldn't run back from it. A "double-life", if you would. It wasn't different if you account her former colleague Kai who used to run the same cafe-shop, had been hacking ever since he went out of Atlantis and AXIS closed. He tried to discover that of which no public was aware of. "WikiLeaks", "Panama Papers", things of sort. Arab Spring was invariably a turn of the tide, they just hoped that this time, everything that went, didn't return, or didn't return worse. He gave coverage to the Triton (who'd be his enemy since almost two years ago), on the behalf he had what it takes to support the on-going revolutions and uprising of neglected populaces. He went off by sea, and was dynamic at that, strategical to tomb slavers in the field. Melissa and Kai, knowing he was but a boy with a penchant for a righteous mind behind his most cruel of acts, tried to keep him busy dealing with the often referred to as "greater evil" - conscript slavers.
He was a fast thinker. Soon enough he had targeted key-personnel. Mining magnates, businessmen, The Queen. Attacking royal family, he triggered and set the stage for a not-so-united Kingdom to start to crumble, or else review it's role as a conscripted "world police". This attack called upon all the "so-called independent states" which actually followed and perpetrated a conscripted role of globalization of misery. Once again unsafe at sea, the international potentials would rather not resort on the potential of Haijian, given it's delicate time having to tap the holes in it's plot to "intoxicate" the world. The Triton, by doing that, previewed spots of action on which they'd pressure the usage of those they've freed: demons from Africa, in colonies as far as in Egypt and Sudan, pointing out to strategic unions with countries of repressive status such as Anatolia. With help of demons from Akh Species, contrariously thankful to his role as a liberator, Triton's intel concerning the black market multiplicated. Not wanting to leave the job half-done, he led illegal immigrants to take the streets. Either claim the means of production or destroy them. Autonomous blocks and rioteers to bring down the conscripted plot of misery and the phantom currencies. Destroy a fabricated story, return the stolen one. Value people's existance by what they were, not by sponsorship or medium of ideas which only just enslaved them. And when reviving from the ruins, understand that those lives we can lead desire not much to take it with honesty. His take on that was kind of severe according to the former agents, but while Kai would rest to hide between the LED screens, Melissa would fight her way. Indian Ocean, Pacific Islands, she would hunt every last slaver, finding to no surprise most of them profitted along with facades of charity. It seemed to have no end. The location of the major slavery pole, and that was their major concern (the source of their conscripted "currency"), seemed to be unaffected by severe changes in the world.

Anna is not an Interpol agent. Melissa is not a terrorist. Perhaps, right now, both of them don't know it each other themselves....
    AGAINST AN EMPIRE
After forementioned events, the Triton shocked out major spots of UK's military overseas. Historically, Cyprus and Zealandia were no news for him. The "Falklands" to the Irish islands, he was adamant in his intent. Becoming even more vengeful when leaks of oil showed up and no one paid for it (as if any tax could bring the endangered animals back to life, or would prevent any action from those greedy bastards) in the Northern Sea, he managed to use his weather power to fool the military and their radars. They believed it both him and them to be going to the Atlantic. Through the very Moon Eye of Horus, his "would-be capturers" were in-route to the Southern Sea, when his "cover"was lift. Stationed in Southern Africa, another Triton Perseus kept his word and allied to him on this intent, claiming this worldly government (one could argue, whether it concerned only the UK, or NATO or the whole of UN as well) to be allied with slavers out of it's own globe - deep down in Helladean Akheron. But Perseus didn't count the persecution to Triton and his supposed "resting place" had counter-measures.

Former Agent Lambda employed her armor once again, and perceiving the trick, made contact with her father. He used his contrarious Sun Eye of Horus to null the Moon one. Managing to that, Perseus promptly revealed himself. Whilst they weren't fooled by the apparition of other Triton, the involved military (a special subdivision concerning previously disbanded Molochian troops, mercenaries and privateers, to agents of many intelligence squads such as MI-6, Archibald and Anna herself as well as a returning Doctor Gilles) engaged at the tired Triton and forced him to save his energy - becoming human once again.
A teenager.
Shock was silent. Through Perseus and Anna violently fighting in sea, they've moved to the nearest land at range: Madagascar.
Handled to local authorities, the human identified as Gustavos Mauros Sgouros wasn't included in current reports. Time was running out to identify whether or not he was actually a human or just a shapeshifter playing with the identity of a Minoican Citizen. Anna was sure of it, she knew these demons could become humans, she saw Paynal doing that. But she didn't mean to kill or torture him - interrogating first, clarifying his deeds and purposes, and finally introduce him in some kind of rehabilitation to free him from such "cursed power", and back to a life, albeit never normal again, something that could actually help people. Confiding in her was the most safe exit of that situation. That's where Kappa enters.
Melissa already had something off for Anna, but she was angry at her simplistic views on the case.
Not a matter of guilt, the Triton did cruel things, yes, that didn't solve anything he proposed to, not by a long shot, but it was invariably accepted and seen he had other use for his powers, he made a valuable place in a never ending intent. His power wasn't a curse. It was a chance to make something better, but Ann's proposals would just throw it away. With that, there would be a cover in oblivion to plots of slavery which were so deep in the functioning of world economy that would never be touched if the Triton was removed from board. The Triton was believed to be an untamed force of nature. His demeanor, however, couldn't be out of the scope of other sentient beings, regardless if he was human or not. He had habits, and searching his weakness or a time he relented, rested, was usually the right time to attack. Matter is, he "relaxed" whilst living as a human, but those times were becoming more and more scarce with the needs he brought forth ever after the implications he involved in the last two years and reached a climax some months ago.
There were no lesser evils in the system of exploitation
Kappa was seen in constant attacks in British protectorates across last months, as playing a role in the insurrections in Australia. She was equally able to be persecuted, despite her speed outdoing any pursuer, and laws favor her ownership of Kappa as long as she kept in with international law (preposterous, isn't it?). Anna is not only "not fond" of that, as she believes her long time colleague and former rival to be actually in league with "terrorists", as if related to the "NECOC YAOTL" phenomena (see that as if autonomous groups and cells of rioteers had military gear unparallel to local authorities - a fictional faction and a tactic which serves more as a scarecrow than actual group - it's resounding effects, however, inspired from awe to sheer fear in entire populations despite of political inclinations), which could be just a smokescreen of something else, given her different treatment for the Triton (deep down Ann believes Melissa does that as a bounty hunter following some unknown agenda).
Anna argues more on his deeds as a inhuman creature. And Melissa too, as she points out things which he done not favoured by media - protecting the autonomy of native peoples, saving animals from drought and famine, floods, and from human exploitation - things she was witness to.
He couldn't do all that alone (he was a teenager boy, regardless of having the power of changing weather, dammit) - so she started off from where she could - after all, they didn't inherited their Alpha Omega armors for nothing, or just for playing the police of someone else.

Will they ever reach a conclusion here?
Kappa has been a helpful "time-buyer" for Triton so far, and keeping a fight with Ann seemed to be the best exit. She'd invariably try to convince her - instead of seeking easening her regret for letting the Cuetzpalin run free in time to bring about the first declared "Necoc Yaotl Attack", just as much as whilst serving in AXIS leaving the Triton to escape in Operation Charybdis, she wasn't fooled by the humanity in her enemies, but instead had insights on her proper inclusion on damned initiatives. Among those which favoured the capture of the teenager, figures of the worst intents such as Marco the "Invisible Vampire" was the proof that the young man has done some difference - if for better or worse, time would judge - As she gives it a blind eye, Triton's allies engage in a fight. Perseus, Coelacanth and an Akh named Tykuki-Teret deploy under a harsh weather. Killing but a handful of the present personnel, their ties broke in the ensuing battle. Few would live to claim that yes, a young Minoican is the Triton. Probably just those which already knew the world is too big, and in the end, there are people worse than him. More pressing concerns. Slavers becoming new leaders, rebellions being misled under populist tendencies...
Tending to her wounded father, it was rather Melissa, not Triton, the subject of Ann's enmity right afterwards...
